Most of chapter 12 was focused around India and Pakistan. This is not necessarily a bad thing, however, the smaller countries like Nepal and Bhutan were lost in the jumble. I wanted to know a little more about the basics of the country of Nepal. I find it very interesting that it is home to the famous Himalayas. This is the mountain range containing Mt. Everest! Also, the culture there is so incredibly different from the one we are a part of. For instance, the calander year in Nepal begins in our mid-April and is divided into twelve months. The weekly holiday in Nepal is Saturday, instead of Sunday. And the national income per capita is much less than that of an average person in the United States.
