Corruption

One trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000) is wasted globally each year, according to World Bank estimates, and it’s not on war, education, law enforcement, or even taxes. It’s on under the table corruption. The money is used as bribes, abuse of public goods, favoring family and friends for jobs, and influencing laws for private gain. Corruption lowers the amount of wealth in a country and decreases the standards of living.
I think there should be higher penalties for this kind of behavior. And it should be monitored better. Like if they know it is happening to a point were they can estimate a dollar amount, they should be able to crack down on the individuals who participate in these crooked deals.
