7 New Wonders of the World

Can you name one of the seven ancient wonders of the world? Hundreds, no actually thousands of years ago these unbelievable creations were made by humans, but today the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt is the only last Ancient 7 Wonder still standing. An organization called the New 7 Wonders Foundation located in Heidi Weber Museum in Zurich, Switzerland is holding a vote around the world to vote on 7 New Wonders. There’s a list of 21 to choose from and all have been built by people. To qualify the structures had to have been built or founded by 2000.
Previously the 7 ancient wonders of the world were located around the Mediterranean Sea because the area was rich in culture and education. Today the 21 nominees are located all around the world and are still standing. The Pyramids of Giza near Cairo, Egypt are still a finalist. In North America there are two nominees; including the Statue of Liberty and Chichen Itla Aztec Site in Mexico. In South America you can vote for Machu Picchu, in Peru, Easter Island Statues in Chile, and Christ the Redeemer in Brazil along with many more. To view the other favorite new wonders nominees go to www.new7wonders.com. What new wonder do you feel is worthy of being named a wonder of the world? Place your vote and watch for an announcement to be made on July 7, 2007. This competition encourages people from all over the world to pay respect and attention to reserve treasures around the world.
