Hyperlink Method for commenting

When commenting you must manually enter the hyperlink using HTML code. Don't let that scare you, just look at the chart. I will have a handout for you in class tomorrow so you will have a hard copy to look at.

Remember not to link too much,

only relevant links that add to the topic at hand.

Chart idea came from Cool Cat Teacher Blog

Update: this link method should work for posts as well.

Great job! Students should be unafraid of this very important and valuable technique. You may also want to teach them how to bold B (in the brackets) and I (in brackets also). I'll have to do a chart on that too.

I'm glad you pointed out the importance of linking to relevant links. I would also add that a relevant link always includes the source of something.

What a large class!

HTML is really handy to know if you enjoy web design. I learned it a few years back and it's pretty easy to learn if you go more in depth. I used it recently to make sabretv.com and it can be fun when you get the hang of it. Anyway, I started learning it at a website called HTML Goodies years back and when I just visited I noticed they have a really good outline of hyperlinking and what it all means/how to make one that expands upon what Mrs. Hartman wrote. Here is the page.
