I was just reading the bird flu article and ironically I just thought of something. Here we are talking about globalization, but this is something we don't want to globalize. I think that as the flu continues to spread to different areas through the world (bird or human) we need to be more careful and get our plans in order. It seems like the issue has actually been out of the media for quite some time. It hasn't been a big concern on major news shoes or there hasn't been much featured about it. Does this mean the threat has gone down or the media just talked it up to much. Before the flu hits the United States we need to make sure we have some kind of plan in order to deal with the situation. I know there are already plans being made now, but we need to make sure these methods are going to work and they are actually (good) methods. I think it won't be entirely possible to follow an orderly plan once it does it if it gets to a pandemic form because people will be going crazy, but if we have a basic structure for what we will do it will make things go smoother. I think we won't see much media attention with it as well until we see some big developments.
