This is the homepage for the Africa Daily, one of Africa's largest newspapers. Some interesting articles I read were the ones about measles and the bird flu. Personally my favorite was the sports. It looks like cricket is in season right now and is a very popular game in Africa. Boxing, Basketball and Formula 1 (racing) are a few other popular activities. The entertainment section covers everything from Hollywood to Bollywood. This newspaper covers almost anything you can think of and is very relevant to our life in America.http://www.africadaily.com/

Most people think of Africa as a nation that's all jungle and elepahnts running around, but this website gives us a different outlook. Who would think that you could find a newspaper in Africa that covered news and entertainment stories? I know I would have had a tough time believing it. I do think though that having access to a newspaper that is coming all the way from Africa is pretty cool. The Internet has truly made so much content accessible to us at the click of a mouse. I do think that it is interesting to read an African newspaper (or any foreign newspaper for that matter) because you get a whole different perspective on their culture's belief's and way of thinking. So often we're just reading news and opinion content from the United States, but how cool is it to get one's "2 cents" from another country?
