Electric Cars
Kare 11 did a segment about this guy who makes and sells cars that run on batteries. I thought it was pretty cool. The cars are only for city driving however. There top speed is 25 mph and they cause very very little pollution. I think it would be sweet if they could make a car like this that was able to be driven on the highway or anywhere with a speed limit over 35 mph. I believe these cars are the future but right now I don't see a city limit car being very benifical to anyone living in Sartell.Electric cars

I think the idea of an electric car is awesome. When I saw this segment on KARE a few nights ago I wished that we had reached the point now where everyone has a car like this to drive in town. It would save a lot of money on gas and would be beneficial to our environment to use electric just to make a small trip somewhere. For those who live in Sartell or very near it, think how much nicer our parking lot at the high school would be if everyone was driving one of these e-rides. I think just by having these cars our parking lot would feel a lot cleaner and there wouldn't be the stench of fuel in the air as everyone is leaving at the end of the day. It would be great if eventually homes could begin using these cars to get from small distance places (i.e. Sartell to St. Cloud). The savings may not seem like much at first when it comes to fuel consumption, but just think if nearly everyone had one of these in town. That would be a lot of money in fuel that could be saved over time.
