Since I can't really get a hold of you this weekend, I was wondering if it would be alright if I did a paper on " different population control methods and their effectivness" instead of "failure of governments to control population growth"?

Chuck, depending on what you are thinking about in the topic that could take you away from the realm of geography. If you went with something like the availabilty of different methods in different parts of the world I could see that working. If you need to, email me at geojava@gmail.com.
