Claims that US departure would help

Supreme Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has told the visiting Iraqi prime minister that the a way to end the instability in Iraq is to have the US leave. He has said that the US is having a negative imapct on the country's security. Since hearing that the US has accused the Iranian regime of interfering in the Iraqi politics and allowing insergants to cross the border. But Khamenei made it clear that Iran wants to see the withdrawal of US troops.

It has also been believed that some Shiite parties accused of involvement in some killings may have support from Irans government. The latest signs of cooperation between the two countries has been a deal they made for jointly developing oil fields straddling their border. And after after a while Iraq will send crude oil to Iran for processing. As well as Iran continuing to help supply needed product such as petroleum products to Iraq.
