North Korea and Nukes

North Korea has alerted its citizens about a nuclear test that is in the near future. North Korea believes it is necessary to push forward in nuclear development because of the U.S. and they say this is only a self-defense measure that is necessary.

The test would actually occur in Pyongyang where the U.S. has seen set-up for a nuclear test for a while.

This has said to possibly increase tensions between China and areas such as South Korea because the U.S. may need to get involved, such as moving troops into South Korea.

Countries are pushing for North Korea to continue talks about their nuclear program but it is questionable at this point.

What I wonder is why would North Korea keep producing nuclear weapons? Even if they developed nuclear weapons for security I am sure that we would either find a way to disarm them or if they attack us we have much more fire power and such to destroy them. To me NOrth Korea's government are just not intelligent.
