U2 Back In The Studio With Rick Rubin, Green Day
For all those music lovers! U2 is back in town. Finally they are coming out with a new CD , they haven't named it yet but are saying that it is going to be a follow-up of their 2004 CD "How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". The new CD's proceeds will be donated to help out with the destruction of hurricane Katrina. Which by the way was co-founded by the Edge. For those of you who don't know who the Edge is, he is the guitarist in U2. This is what Rick Rubin said from Green Day.
"One year later, the devastation is still fresh in our minds, and we'd like to
keep it in yours," Green Day said. "New Orleans has always been a special city
to us, being a hotbed of music and creativity, and it's hard to believe parts of
the Gulf region still remain devastated. We feel that it's important to continue
to raise awareness."

The main part of the CD that U2 and Green Day is recording, is to record a cover of a Scottish punk band called the Skids. I recommend looking into this new CD and many other ones already available.

Actually madcat, if you looked a bit more carefully, you would notice that the majority of the post has to do with the hurricane. And yz, I completely agree with you, diversity is a key element geography.
