Northern Ireland

In the notes today, there was a part about a conflict in Northern Ireland that has a religious component. I found a CNN special about this and thought it was interesting.
I don't hear about Ireland very often and even less about conflict with/within. My thoughts have changed after reading the first paragraph of this article.
Over the time period of 33 years, 3,636 people have been killed and 36,000 injured.
The tension is between the Catholics and protestants (which is the majority)
